Rosin Bags: How to choose the right micron?
Rosin bag is one of the indispensable consumables for rosin press
The most common microns of the rosin bags are 15, 25, 37, 50, 75, 90, 120, 160, 220. But which one? it can be tricky for newcomers, but it doesn’t have to.
What exactly is a micron?
First of all, we need to understand what exactly is a micron? A micron is a unit of length, equivalent to one thousandth of a millimeter. The micron specification of a rosin bag refers to the mesh size of the rosin bag. Using a rosin bag with a small mesh size can get finer materials, while Large mesh size rosin bags for rough material.
Why it matters?
Since the fineness (low micron) or thickness (high micron) of the rosin bag has a direct relationship to the rosin of the raw material, you must know enough about the raw material you use, which can help you choose the correct micron to get the best rosin.
So which micron size should I use?
Flower : 75-120 microns and higher
Dry sift or Kief: 25-75 microns
Bubble Hash: 5-37 microns
